I remember, ever since no one ever helped me when i first needed help with my computer (long long time ago) I took and oath to learn more and help others as far as i can if they get stuck with a computer problem.

But ohh my god, this really pisses me off sometimes, what pisses me off is not about helping someone, i am glad to have helped someone, but imagine yourself, you take all the pain to learn and try tofigure out what is causing their problem and you in the end fix it (minus the godlike feeling that you get to find and debug), atleast if the person did recognize the value of the work, that would have been great.

Am not talking about money, I don’t care about the money when i am helping someone, but hell… when the job is done, I get the feeling that certain people just believe (or take for granted) that “its done, i don’t care”.

There are other times when people seems to own you now, and phone you everytime and some even seems to order you to do the job, invent weird sort of excuses, you may be spending some quality time with your gf, someone phones you to “please help me i really really need my computer to submit an important assignment tommorrow”, when in the end, it turns out to be a bullshit of an excuse, he just needed the bloody computer to be on without any particular reasons and he could have waited!

Now take the case of  these few days, there was a guy in the village who called (well he used to hang out with my friends, and friends of my friends are my friends), so he called and told his computer was not working, i went there, found out that he had a worm which seemt to be have some spyware properties mixed to it, I was pissed off when i saw that he could have managed to live for a day with that on his machine, (i told him that iwas not free, but he convinced me to come, and i found that, wouldn’t you have been pissed off?), anywayz back to the story, i found that nasty (the virus i mean) to be very very interesting, since usually with a process viewer, a tcp/ip connection viewer and a file access viewer plus some logic i manage to get those things off.. i was impressed by the creature, i couldn’t get it out on the first look, i tried and tried… i felt the sound of defeat, so i told the guy that i won’t be able to do anything (did i mention that he had an updated version of norton virus scanner + spybot SD updated which didn’t detect it or wasn’t able to remove it), anywayz the creature killed norton etc.. and i couldn’t see any process etc.., i told the guy i am unable to remove that, but i can remove it if i get my machine infected and study it well enough, they guy says “kan to pou kapav vinn fix li alor”!!!

Man that’s a fcking comment, as if, he was paying me to do that! anywayz i replied, hopefully in 2 days time, now, I studied the nasty a bit the nextday, and i found that they creature was hiding itself because it wasn’t one thing, it was just creating lots of dll and hooking itself to a certain program, and if one dll was removed, the rest repalced it, no startup entry was written (only upon shutdown and gets cleaned on next load of the OS).  Since i found how the virus was working, and can remove it, i was not in a rush to code something to remove it, since there’s no challenge anymore, i was tired all the way on the second day, my god, i started to get lots and lots of miscall, i smsed the guy told him i was tired and i will come on sunday, why don’t ppl understand and they have to always “batt lakol“???

Enfin, today is saturday and its 2moro that i was supposed to go there,  i went to my jujitsu trainig, got damned tired there, was letting my tiredness bring me to a nice sleep in the bus.. when.. vourrr vourrrr the fone start to buzz, no need to get in the details, the guy was convincing me to come NOW.

I feel gud helping ppl, and i fear that one day, with people such as these.. i’ll get sooo pissed off.. ohh my god.. sooo pissed off that i’ll end up putting a bullet in my head! I am only human

your views, what would you have done? (don’t tell me you would have told the person right in the face, because if that would happen to me.. probably i would end up punching the guy’s face if he says he’s hurt)
